Wikipedia says about the mistletoe: “In Germany, the Christmas tradition is that people who kiss under mistletoe will have an enduring love or are bound to marry one another.” Really? I’m German, and I always thought that this was a purely Anglo-Saxon thing. For me, the mistletoe is the one plant that didn’t promise not to kill the god Baldr. And lo and behold, the source Wikipedia gives doesn’t prove at all the assertion that the mistletoe-kissing-thing is an old German tradition.
On an unrelated note, an old tradition says that if you kiss your keyholder’s vagina while wearing a chastity cage, you’ll be her slave forever.
